Yvonne Lautenschlager

The first thing that strikes you about all of Yvonne Lautenschläger's paintings is the positive undertone: The works appear humorous, captivate the viewer, and inspire a smile. However, one shouldn't be fooled: This is a calculated move. The artist wants to win over the viewer first, not deter them with negative aspects, and then—once they engage with the work—subtly draw their attention to its inner values.

CV:

My artistic career is somewhat unusual. At 18, I wanted to study art, but various circumstances led me to study science, followed by five years of professional work.

At the age of 45, I started to fulfill my dream:

In addition to various courses, workshops and autodidactic studies, I completed the 2-year course *Creative Painting* (2010-2012).

In 2014, I began my continuing education course *Contemporary Art since the 1960s* at the AWW of the University of Hamburg.
