Ulla Kutter

Photo Ulla Kutter in her studio, has a brush in her right hand and paints

Ulla Kutter has experimented artistically with many materials and has been painting with oil paint on canvas and wood since 2004.

Her choice of motifs is explained by her proximity to the street art and graffiti scene: The perception of the urban environment is characterized by a focus on disharmonious compositions and their aesthetics. The path to the final motif of the painting initially leads through this perception and the subsequent recording of these perceptions with a camera. However, Ulla Kutter does not paint complete photographs, but rather assembles image content from several photos she has taken.

Photorealism is not her goal, but rather her own interpretation of a situation and reality. The focus of her works is on atmosphere, light, and color.
