In the hands of Rolf Krieger, light and movement create abstract art. This means that the camera is mounted on a tripod, and the abstract works are created by opening the camera's aperture for a long exposure of several seconds, while the light tools are moved by the artist in front of the camera. The light pulsates in various colors; he uses the latest LED technology for his light tools. The technique of light painting requires darkness during the shot; the works are created in the studio or at night in nature. During light painting, the artist cannot see, only feel, how his work is taking shape and whether he will be happy with the result. Therefore, the compositions are not repeatable, meaning that the shot can only be taken once in this form.
Light painting works are artworks of shapes and light. Krieger creates a shimmering world of colors and luminous lines. A fascinating image that leaves reality behind.
